It’s the time of the week for the Film Quiz again. As you probably know, the rules are simple, just look at the picture below and if you think you know the name of the film that the Bears are watching then you are allowed ONE GUESS ONLY! So make sure you think long and hard before using up your guess.
Tonight, I can’t think of anything to write about. I have asked the Bears for ideas but they are all too busy messing about, watching the TV or eating their Tea. So I thought we could have another open night. I want you to just chat away and say whatever pops into your heads and lets make it funny and random. Anything at all no matter if you think it appropriate or not we want to hear it.
A wild bear which touched the hearts of Germans by dodging hunters for weeks has gone on display in a Munich museum. Bruno was the first bear to be spotted in the wild in Germany for 170 years but was finally shot dead in June 2006. The bear is displayed being disturbed while stealing honey from bee hives to show his potential danger. Taxidermist Dieter Schoen, who spent 1,400 hours stuffing the bear, said the display was “supposed to show Bruno neither as beast nor teddy bear”.
Another Bear has come to join us here at the Bear Sanctuary. This little guy is the cheeky little Bear who was emailing me telling me he was bored sitting in a loft in Cardiff and wanted to come and join us. Maureen, his former owner, says she has no idea how long he has been in the loft and doesn’t even know how he came to live with them. She was just clearing out junk one day when she came across him.
It’s time for the Film Quiz again. The rules are simple, just look at the picture below and if you think you know the name of the film that the Bears are watching then you are allowed ONE GUESS ONLY! The new Bear read the blog last night and decided he likes the name of Elfie which makes Kaytee his Godmother for naming him. In case anyone is unaware, anyone who names one of our Bears is responsible for that Bears upbringing and personal development. Also, if that Bear becomes an orphan, a Godparent has to step in as a Foster Parent. No small responsibility!
Today we are pleased to announce that two more Teddy Bears are on the way to join us. The two Bears are from Spalding, Lincolnshire and from Cardiff. We do not know any details as yet but the sellers have both emailed to say that the Bears have been posted today care of Royal Mail. Knowing Royal Mail that means they should be with us just before Christmas!
