Today is proving to be a very busy day for the Bears. This morning Razzi went back down to the Sorting Office to sort out the office, which we both thought was rather an amusing little quip. Razzi demanded that they produce our new Bear, who is still missing, and we got to speak to the Manager. He was a very nice man who was very kind to Razzi and explained that he would try his best over the weekend to locate where our missing friend has got to. It appears our regular Postman has been on holiday this week and so someone has been covering for him. He did not know who the cover Postman was; but he would find out on Monday and so hopefully, be able to locate the missing Bear.
Royal Mail have really done it this time — they have gone and lost our latest Bear. He was posted over a week ago and we have been in contact with Mandy, his former owner, and she has Proof of Postage and yet Royal Mail say that can’t find him. The Postman says he tried to deliver him three days ago but didn’t get an answer so took him back to the Sorting Office. The Sorting Office say they have no record of him being returned and that maybe he has been forwarded to the Sorting Office in Chester. Just why he would be sent to Chester is anyone’s guess?
We didn’t get round to giving you a FatClub update last Thursday, tonight is a buy one get one free night. Tonight Davidd went to the late class with all the alcoholics and chocoholics and he lost 1.5lbs which we have added to the weight he lost last week (4lbs) to bring a fortnightly total of 5.5lbs.
It looks like one of our Bears is missing again. He was posted First Class last Wednesday and still hasn’t arrived today. He was only posted from East Riding in Yorkshire so it’s not like he has far to come. Razzi even said today it would have been quicker if he had walked as he gave the Postman one of his hard stares! Hurry up little guy, wherever you are, we’re all dying to meet you!
As regular readers of our blog will know, we have had problems with YouTube in the past when it kept deleting our videos. They also deleted music videos we posted as part of our Musical Sundays; so I think it is fair to say we are not Google’s number one fan. Well it appears it has been annoying other users of the Video sharing site and they have been fighting back.
Well we did warn you the other day that Edward had been quiet and now we can see what he was up to. Although initially, we all loved Edwards last WordPress Theme it proved to be very complicated and some people complained they found it confusing to use. Never one to back down from a challenge Edward set out to make the blog more user friendly, simpler to navigate and faster to load.
It seems ages since we last had one of our Film Quizzes so we thought we had better put that right. As you probably know, the rules are fairly simple, just look at the picture below and if you think you know who the car belongs to then you are allowed ONE GUESS ONLY! So make sure you think long and hard before using up your guess.
The two Bears who arrived the other day have both chosen names. We now have Elliott (not to be confused with baby Elliot) and Elvin to add to the ever increasing number of Bears here at the Birkenhead Bear Sanctuary. Both Bears are settling in nicely and have already decided where they sit around the place. All the Bears when they arrive, seem to find a little corner or somewhere that they make into their home. If one Bear sits in another Bears place there is usually trouble as they get very territorial.
Bearkeeper Andreaa asked a rather interesting question last night — who is running the blog while we are all on our holidays next month? It is something I hadn’t considered. I just thought we would leave it for a couple of weeks and then come and tell everyone how much The Bears enjoyed themselves afterwards. Or maybe, if we got the chance, we could update it from Egypt when we managed to stop Razzi and Eddie from getting into trouble! These were the thoughts going through my mind…
Today was a busy day here at the Birkenhead Bear Sanctuary. Not one, but two little guys arrived to join the gang. One was the Bear from the post yesterday who we had to fight off the Monster on eBay to get and the other is from Essex where he has been in his original polythene bag for nearly fourteen years.
