Yesterday we featured Lianne’s day at the zoo over the Bank Holiday weekend and it appears we have caused a little consternation amongst the Bear Friends. Last night everyone wanted to know why he or she could not be featured on the Blog and the answer is you can. We started Friend Days back in January this year and only Jessikah sent anything in for us to feature.
As you all know, the Bears love their television and there is nothing they like more than watching a series from years ago. They believe in the old adage that they “don’t make ‘em like they used to”. So every so often, an old television series is repeated on one of the oldies channels and I get the chance to introduce the Bears to it for the first time.
We all know how forgetful Granny can get but she is also aware of it herself. To try to overcome her forgetfulness she usually leaves little notes around the house to remind her of things she does not want to forget. The only problem with that is she loses the notes! She has even been known to leave notes for herself to remind her to read other notes.
We had a stop to make on the way home tonight so apologies to everyone for being late again. Razzi and I stopped off to visit the one and only Eddie Bear; the very first Renault Bear we rescued. As most of you who have been following the blog for a while will know, Eddie does not live with us at the Bear Sanctuary. Eddie lives a life of luxury with my daughter in Chimpton Towers where he infrequently moves from his bed and where he enjoys his daytime telly. Unlike our Bears, he prefers the QVC Shopping channel and he and his wife Edwina spend a small fortune when let loose on Chimpton’s account.
Razzi and I were working late again tonight and so we thought we would make it an Open Night. Just in case you are unfamiliar with our Open Nights, let me explain. If you visit the blog today then you have to leave a comment behind. It can be on any subject you choose and the more random you make it the funnier it appears to us. Just chat away with whatever comes into your head or if you are new to the blog just say “Hello”. Anything goes on an Open Night and Random is Cool.
So the Queen is well and truly settling back in after her little jaunt on the Jolly Miller. So the Queen on one of her little visits went to the Liverpool museum. On her venture she meets some fattish bloke who after a lot of humming and arring they decide that this fat bloke ‘could be’ Johnny Vegas. So they all gather round and take a picture with him, she is still unsure if its him or an impersonator.
ABearkeeper at the World Animal Studios, in Cleveland, Ohio, has been mauled to death by a Bear he helped raise from a cub. It has been alleged that the keeper regularly play wrestled with the Bear prior to his death. Brent Kandra, who was 24 years old, worked for the controversial centre where keepers are encouraged to play with the animals, including Bears and Wolves. He was killed by Iroquoes; a Bear described, as Brent’s favourite, after he let him out for a regular feeding.
Today is a good day, today I feel a very proud sister, you see we all know how much the Queen has to put up with, she has a number of health complications and has a lot of shit thrown at her but she copes well under the circumstances. Today the little star has only gone and passed all her GCSE’s (for you lovely American chaps and chapetts out there, its her high school diploma) she has got fantastic grades and is going on to study in the sixth form.
