There will be no post tonight because we are on strike in support of the Public Sector workers who are being held to ransom over their future pensions. We hope today’s day of action proves to be the biggest walkout for a generation.
We added some more of your photographs to the Friends Gallery last night from the many you keep sending us. The collection is growing fast and the Gallery now consists of fifty photographs. If you would like one of your photographs included then please send them along and we will consider them for inclusion. Just please make sure you have the permission of anyone who appears in the picture with you.
In fact, since 1998 Sooty has been working even harder because he now not only has his television shows but also he writes books and stars in a cartoon series. He is indeed a very busy Bear.
Sooty is up for auction to help raise money to buy wheelchairs for disabled kids. The puppet was the last one used by Matthew Corbett during his last ever stage show. This particular Sooty was specially designed for stage shows and comes complete with a magic wand, books, badges and rosettes.
Thanks to everyone for the kind messages that Tedwood has been receiving since we told you all about his little operation yesterday. He is currently sitting up in bed watch Judge Judy and is now well on the mend and enjoying the extra movement he now has in his leg. It is still a little sore following the operation but he is expected to make a full recovery and regain full use of his right leg.
Today has been a very nervous day here at the Bear Sanctuary. “Tedwood” the Bear who arrived yesterday with a badly injured leg has been undergoing surgery at the Teddy Bear Hospital and we have all been sitting around waiting for news. According to the hospital, Tedwood has been operated on by non-trained personnel who had sewn his leg to his body in a way as to completely restrict the movement in his right leg.
It has been a busy day here at the Bear Sanctuary with the arrival of two Bears. Neither of the Bears have any idea where they have come from as they were both saved from charity shops by Sam and Anne. One of the Bears even has a damaged leg where he has obviously had some surgery. This has left him with a very stiff pelvis and finds it very difficult to move easily.
