Unfortunately, due to the number of hours Razzi and I are working at the moment, we cannot currently post something every night. Last night we didn’t finish work until 9:30pm and didn’t get home until 10pm. By the time we had had something to eat and settled down it was too late to even begin to think of something to post here on Jammy Toast. So, from now on we will endeavour to post on the blog as often as we can but unfortunately some nights will just have to remain blank. We will, however, keep everyone up to date with Garfield by posting a double-feature of our favourite feline following a night when we have not posted.

Gorilla Reunion

After raising a Gorilla in an English zoo, Damian Aspinall ventured out to the jungle where it was released to try to catch a glimpse of him, five years later. Not expecting the Gorilla, “Kwibi”, to recognize him, he was in for a major shock when they crossed paths. What happened next was an amazing display of affection and shows that love can transcend boundaries, whether it be size, shape, race, or even species. If it puts a smile on your face, as it did to everyone here at Jammy Toast, then our job here is complete.

In advance of the new film featuring our friend Paddington Bear we thought it would be fun to dig out some of the more obscure facts which you may not be aware of. Where is the real 32 Windsor Gardens? What would have happened if Michael Bond had planned for Christmas early in 1956? Who owned the first Paddington Bear toy? What happened when Paddington turned his back on Marmalade? How did Paddington get mixed up in a political scandal? How much does Google love Paddington? We aim to answer these and other questions in today’s post…

Let’s Talk Shit #14

It is that time of the month again when we ask everyone who visits Jammy Toast to just “Talk Shit” for the day. We just ask that people leave comments on just about any subject they choose. Funny or sad, true or false, real or fake; we don’t give a shit as long as it is entertaining and doesn’t really hurt anyone. We usually do this kind of thing when we are too busy to post anything else – and everyone seems to like the freedom to whine and bitch. The rules are pretty simple to explain – basically, anything goes!

Dogs Are Jealous

Sometimes we wonder just how clever scientists are. For years they have maintained that jealousy is a human characteristic as it requires complex cognitive skills which are unique to people and that these skills are not present in other animals. However, they have now changed their minds and accept that dogs are also jealous and it appears to be hardwired into their brains – something which most dog owners have known for years.

We were hoping to have some great news to reveal tonight but unfortunately it has not come about. We are not going to reveal exactly what the news is but safe to say it is going to make someone extremely happy. Myself and a few of the bears who are in on our little secret are honour bound not to reveal what is going on to the person concerned but we know he is going to be very happy. However, before you all start guessing what is about to be revealed we can inform everyone that it is not a sex slave for Razzi!

UK residents who continually download pirated music or films will soon start receiving emails telling them that their actions are illegal. The warnings are part of a scheme to educate people about the legal ways to enjoy digital content. Starting next year, up to four warnings a year will be sent to households suspected of copyright infringement. But here comes the rub; if people ignore the warnings, no further action will be taken.

Ben Whisham Is Voice Of Paddington

James Bond’s new Q, actor Ben Whisham, has been cast as the new voice of Paddington Bear for the upcoming film adaptation of the Peruvian Bear. The 33-year-old has replaced Oscar-winner Colin Firth, who left the film in June after saying he did not have the right voice for the character. Producer David Heyman has said Paddington needed “a slightly more open, and younger, voice”. Heyman said Firth had sensed early on in the production his voice did not suit the bear. “He was saying, ‘Are you sure I’m right?’ He was way ahead of us – Colin was brilliant, but his voice was, ultimately, too mature,” he said.
