Today we are continuing our series of articles on our favourite fictional characters from our favourite telly shows. As you all know, the bears love their telly programmes and there is nothing they love more than finding a character they love to love… or even love to hate. The bears don’t usually go for the clean-cut, heroic types they are more likely to identify with the slackers of society, people like Frank Gallagher or Jim Royle. Today, we are featuring

Our Granny #4

The bears have a Granny – a human one – who they are all very fond of, even though she treats them with disdain – and that is putting it mildly. Now Granny lives in a special Granny flat here at Jammy Toast which we made for her advancing years so she can have some company, if she so desires, while also keeping her own independence. Granny doesn’t like asking for help and continues to do some of the many day to day tasks which women her age find increasingly difficult. She also continues to drive despite pleading from family and friends. It is her driving and persistence in continuing to undertake daily tasks which seems to get her in deeper and deeper trouble – much to her bewilderment and our sniggering

The Big Secret Is Revealed

The other week we told you that we were going to reveal a huge big secret but that we had to wait until all the pieces were in place before we could make the revelation. We didn’t want anything to go wrong at the last minute and leave someone who is very special to us disappointed. Unfortunately the secret took a little longer to resolve than we had originally hoped – hence the delay. In fact, if truth be told, someone seriously let us down and in the end we had to hand it over to Razzi to “have a word!” and resolve the situation. We are sorry to be all cloak and dagger about the matter but it is such a big surprise for the person concerned we just really do not want to spoil it. However, today we can reveal, Flat Eric has a son!

There is nothing more we love here at Jammy Toast than listening to some of our favourite tunes. From time to time we will post a music video from an artist or genre that we think will be enjoyable to you; our friends. We often feature music that you may not have come across before, or music that maybe you just missed the first time around. Try and listen with an open mind, you never know, you may find something you can add to your iPod. If you have any music videos you would like us to feature then drop us a line – we are always happy to listen to requests but we cannot promise to feature everyone’s favourite…

Anew ferry boat could be sailing across the Mersey and the future of Woodside terminal looks secure under new plans revealed yesterday. Merseytravel is appointing a naval architect to design the new vessel. The designer will work with the public transport organisation and other groups to decide how the ferry will look and advise on how much it will cost subject to formal approval of the scheme.

Today we are going to ask everyone who visits Jammy Toast to just “Talk Shit” for the day. We ask that anyone who visits Jammy Toast leaves a comment on just about any subject they choose. Funny or sad, true or false, real or fake; we don’t give a shit as long as it is entertaining and doesn’t really hurt anyone. We ask you to do this because we are too busy to think of anything else to post – hopefully everyone will like the freedom to whine and bitch. The rules are pretty simple to explain – basically, anything goes!

What Happens When We Die?

One thing which we humans have to worry about and teddy bears don’t is just what happens to us when we die. For years I have heard stories of near-death experiences where people see bright lights and just as they are about to enter into the light they are brought back to life. Too many people say the same thing about near-death experiences for it to be something which someone has made up or dreamt. So just what does happen when we die, does anybody know?
