There is nothing more we love here at Jammy Toast than listening to some of our favourite tunes. From time to time we will post a music video from an artist or genre that we think will be enjoyable to you; our friends. We often feature music that you may not have come across before, or music that maybe you just missed the first time around. Try and listen with an open mind, you never know, you may find something you can add to your iPod. If you have any music videos you would like us to feature then drop us a line – we are always happy to listen to requests but we cannot promise to feature everyone’s favourite…

Red Rum and Donald ‘Ginger’ McCain training on the beach at Southport.

Davidd and I are 57 years old this month and during those years we have watched some great sporting events. Today, we would like to continue our series of posts where we recall our memories of those events featuring some of our greatest heroes. We have lived through England winning the World Cup (we were a little young, though), Muhammad Ali’s greatest fights, Stoke City winning the League Cup and Botham’s Ashes. Some great times and even more great memories which we hope to share with you during the coming months. Today we would like to share our memories off

Talking Shit #74

Today we are going to ask everyone who visits Jammy Toast to just “Talk Shit” for the day. We ask that anyone who visits Jammy Toast leaves a comment on just about any subject they choose. Funny or sad, true or false, real or fake; we don’t give a shit as long as it is entertaining and doesn’t really hurt anyone. We ask you to do this because we are too busy to think of anything else to post – hopefully everyone will like the freedom to whine and bitch. The rules are pretty simple to explain – basically, anything goes!

A Big Welcome To George

Today we would like to welcome our new friend George to Jammy Toast. This is probably going to be a very short post because George has no idea where he came from and can’t remember anything before he was rescued from a Car Boot Sale by MJC Collectables in Rushden, Northamptonshire. This is quite often the case with Renault Bears, they have an inbuilt defence whereby they forget anything which upsets them or could cause them harm. This probably means George was loved by a child somewhere who then outgrew him and gave him away to the Car Boot Sale like last week’s rubbish.

Today we are continuing our highly entertaining feature which I feel must go down as one of the most exhilarating series we have ever posted here on Jammy Toast. I think we had just better warn anyone who has a heart condition, or who is easily excitable, to just take this slowly and do not read/view this post all at once. Over-excitement could result if you consume this little post too quickly – I would also recommend sitting down. Now, as many of you know, Razzi and I teach people to drive around the Wirral and one of the draw-backs to this is when we need an emergency wee-wee. Public Toilets around the Wirral a very few and far between. So today, we are continuing our feature where we introduce you to the wonderful toiletry arrangements offered by the Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council…

Great Easton Express #3

Back in 1975, Radio City employed a then unheard of – at least by us – DJ by the name of Phil Easton. He started an evening radio show at 6:30 each week day called The Great Easton Express. On this show he featured all the news and sounds in rock music and it became essential listening each evening. The show ran for twelve years culminating each year with a Battle of The Bands competition at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. In 1988, with the popularity of rock music in decline, he moved on to other things and finally ended up presenting the City Talk Breakfast Show every day. He died in 2009 at the age of 59 after suffering a suspected brain haemorrhage at his home. In his memory, here at Jammy Toast, we have decided to resurrect one of our favourite features from his show where he would select a favourite album and then feature his three favourite tracks from that album. Today we would like to feature
