We have decided to make a few changes here at Jammy Toast. A couple of things have brought us to the decision, most noticeably the fact that we don’t have the time to donate to Jammy Toast that we used to – work commitments are taking their toll. Also, Jammy Toast is meant to be the home of the Renault Bears but it is slowly being over-run with other people and characters. With these two thoughts in mind, we have decided to act. Firstly, we will no longer be able to post something here every day but instead will post something when we have something to say. Secondly, we are going to streamline the content so that Jammy Toast is once more about and/or features the Renault Bears.
Update #9
Tags: Happy Birthday, Theme, WordPressWe have been waiting with baited breath for the latest update to our WordPress theme “X” as it was promised to be a big one. Version 2.0 has now been released and sees two major areas of improvement; firstly there is a new stack available and secondly “X” now includes megamenus. There are also many areas of improvement and much of the theme’s code has been “minified” and the way scripts load improved to offer quicker loading times for our readers. In additional there are many updates and bug fixes that have greatly streamlined the way many processes are handled by “X”. Although many of these have more to do with the backend, they do go a long way to improve the way “X” loads and works.

Tags: Theme, WordPressAs everyone is busy doing other things over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, I thought it would be a good idea to bring everyone up to date with the workings of Jammy Toast. Behind the scenes we have quietly been making changes all the time, most of which don’t really affect our end-users. We recently upgraded WordPress to version 3.9 “Smith” named in honour of jazz organist Jimmy Smith. This release features a number of refinements, none of which you will probably ever see, but it makes it easier for us run Jammy Toast more smoothly.

Tags: RealNews, WordPressHello everyone, Edward here. I asked David if I could write a post tonight because I have been looking at a redesign for Jammy Toast again. It has been twelve months since we last changed things around and I always like to keep it up to date with the latest and greatest gadgets and effects. I am currently looking at a theme called RealNews which is available from Reedwan Design from Indonesia. RealNews is a fresh, clean, stylish and modern theme built on a responsive design and based on Visual Composer. It has built-in post formats (Standard, Video, Audio and Gallery) and can be used for almost any niche project.

Tags: Renault Bears, renaultbears.com, ThemeAs most of you know, Update is here to bring everyone up to date with goings on here at Jammy Toast. A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes and future plans are made which most of you may not get the chance to hear about or even have your own say upon. Because Jammy Toast is here for everyone to enjoy we feel that everyone should have a chance to have their say or at least be able to comment on all things Jammy. This is your chance…

Update #4
Tags: Edward, Media, WordPressIthought I would use today’s post to let everyone know what has been going on here at Jammy Toast recently. A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes to keep Jammy Toast up to date and ticking over nicely. We have only this past week upgraded the backend to the newly released WordPress 3.5. Nicknamed “Elvin”, the new release is chock-full of goodies; the most dramatic of which is the new way of working with the media and graphics galleries. It’s a great upgrade that you, as visitors to Jammy Toast, will not really notice. This is because most of the new features are designed at making it easier to manage our site and posts. None-the-less, it is a really great upgrade and is a typical example of the work that goes on behind the scenes which no one really notices.
The Little Red Card
Tags: New Bear, Post OfficeThere is one sight we hate seeing here at Jammy Toast and that is the sight of a little red card pushed through the letter box by the post office. It means they have tried to deliver a new bear but we have all been out working or gallivanting. We returned tonight to see the card on the mat and so the poor bear waiting to be delivered has to spend another night down in the sorting office. This is not always bad news, however…
Update #3
Tags: Edward, Egginanoo, Gallery, Razzi, ThemeWhile everyone has been busy watching Team-GB doing so well in the Olympics over the weekend, Edward has been hard at work – as always. This weekend he has been busy getting our “Bear Made” videos back online. As our Friends of longer standing will know, they used to be on YouTube but after we fell out with their copyright protection methods and removed them, you have not been able to see them. Edward has now added them to Jammy Toast.
Update #2
Tags: Andrea, Edward, Egginanoo, Granny, Logo, ThemeIt has been a busy weekend here at the Bear Sanctuary. Following the controversy caused by Miss Chimpton’s attack on our “Bling” logo, Egginanoo set to work to design a new simplistic logo that would let everyone see at a glance what the logo was trying to say. There in a simple, easy to read typeface is Jammy Toast and the strapline telling everyone that this is indeed the home of the Renault Bears. Furthermore, who could argue with the term “infamous”? Additionally there is a cheeky little teddy bear face to round off our new logo. Personally I like it but let’s see what everyone else things – including Miss Chimpton.
