The other day, in the post about Google spying on us all, we mentioned the name of Tim Berners-Lee. Now I have a strong feeling that most of you won’t know who he is or more importantly what he has done for us all.
The Bears couldn’t believe it yesterday when they discovered dancing street sweeper Ziggy Dust (also known in London as Billy Clean) and spent last night trying to find out more about him. Unfortunately they have discovered a shocking truth. Ziggy has left Britain fearing for his life, saying he was beaten up by racist thugs.
The Bears were very upset today to learn that artist and children’s TV presenter Tony Hart had died yesterday after suffering from health problems for some time. Tony was best known for his work with the BBC as a television artist in a variety of programmes including ‘Vision On’, ‘Smart Hart’ and ‘Hartbeat’.
As you will be aware if you read this blog often, The Bears pass most of their days watching daytime television. One of their biggest heroes on daytime telly is Jeremy Kyle. With re-runs and ITV-2 showing old shows, The Bears can spend up to 3 hours a day watching Jeremy and they love every minute of it.
Starting from today we are going to be running an infrequent series of posts featuring people who the Bears consider to be Heroes.
