Final Goodbye From The Giants

It has been a weekend and a half on Merseyside as an estimated 1.5million people made their way to the banks of the Mersey to catch a glimpse of the Giant, Little Boy Giant and Xolo ahead of their journey home. The Giants took over Liverpool and Wirral for their spectacular adventure. Then yesterday, crowds in Liverpool were even treated to a special appearance from the Little Girl Giant, who holds a place in the heart of Scousers.

Once the Little Boy Giant had left Merseyside on the giant sandal near the Albert Dock, the Giant and Xolo made their way to Sefton Street for a siesta. Upon awakening, a very special guest appeared – the Little Girl Giant. She had captured everyone’s hearts during the last Giants Spectacular in 2014 and with this being the last ever event, it was only right that she came back to say goodbye.

The final day of the weekend saw the Giants trilogy come to an end and in an emotional farewell speech, Giants creator Jean-Luc Courcoult said, “Liverpool is bleeding and will always bleed in our hearts. From the heart of this company I hold you in my giant arms. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

  1. Managed to get the 4yo to bed an hour early, mostly because it’s dark outside & he can’t tell the time yet. He’s suspicious though. He’ll be telling the time by next week unless I hide all the clocks.

  2. I found another dog that I want and my husband said, “No”. He said he may as well sleep in the guest room because then we would have 4 dogs on the bed. I don’t see what the problem is.
