Tranmere were now in trouble. However, all was not lost. Tranmere were not about to go down with a whimper, with play-off hero James Norwood slotting in to make it 2-1 just before half-time.
After the break, Rovers were level through Norwood’s second of the match, the forward converting after Ritchie Sutton nodded down a free-kick.
Stevenage were reduced to 10 men as full-back Johnny Hunt picked up a second booking for chopping down Ben Tollitt.
The game ended two-a-piece with Tranmere happy to get their first points on the board.
Well done, guys!
Next game is against Cheltenham Town at Prenton Park next Saturday.
