So this morning we woke up expecting the worst. The first day of April and everyone is out trying to play practical jokes to catch everyone out. The BBC weren’t very original trying to tell everyone there was going to be a pasta shortage following a bug attacking the Spaghetti trees in Italy. That story is about 50 years old from when Panorama first used it. The Daily Mirror came up with the story of horses being allowed to listen to music through headphones at Aintree for the Grand National. There were many others but some of the real-life stories looked more like April Fool Pranks than the pranks did.
