It is not a secret that the bears love daytime telly and they are never happier than when they are watching Judge Judy. However, it is not just because we love Judy Sheindlin so much. There is someone else on the show who never fails to bring a smile to our face. Standing next to Judy in the courtroom is a man who quite often stands there looking bored and some days he can even be seen completing a crossword puzzle. That person is none other than Petri Hawkins Byrd – or just “Byrd” as everybody calls him.

As we are about to enter the latest Bank Holiday weekend we thought we would bring everyone up to date with a few things around the Bear Sanctuary. It is a good job that Renault Bears do not hibernate because things would get pretty lonely at the Bear Sanctuary around this time of year. The weather-forecasters have said that we are entering a prolonged cold spell which could bring one of the earliest heavy snowfalls since 1993.
