People of a nervous disposition should consider long and hard before reading this post. It features examples of a critically out of control Granny and the damage she has caused this month. Jammy Toast cannot be held responsible for any resultant damage from reading this post.

Each month we tell you of the havoc our Granny has wreaked on the world around her – well this month she has surpassed herself. Granny has single-handedly brought Tesco, Halifax, eBay and PayPal to their knees. Granny has a lot of grief remembering passwords and so it all started when she tried to login to her Halifax account. It would not allow her to access her account saying that her username and password were incorrect. Granny was beside herself thinking she might have been hacked or someone might have been using her password to gain entry – the state of Granny’s passwords this would not be very difficult. She contacted Halifax to tell them she thinks her account might have been compromised and they did what all banks and building societies do under those circumstances, they suspended the account.

Now that all the weekend festivities are behind us we would like to address a very important question. Last night we were asked; “Why don’t the bears have their own Royal family?” While it is true we do not have a King or a Queen amongst our bears we do have some nobility. Those of you with a long memory may remember, way back in 2009, when Lord Ellsworth came to join us. Things did not get off to a very auspicious start…

Two Little Exploited Bears

Our two new friends have been settling in nicely here at the Bear Sanctuary. The pair, who arrived last week, have been getting to know all their new friends and trying to make sense of what had happened to them previously. They arrived on the same day and the postmarks on their packaging were identical. When we investigated further we discovered that they were sold by the same person who has a few eBay accounts under different names and spends most of his/her day bidding on his/her own items in an attempt to inflate the price.

We have published late today because we have been involved in a bit of undercover work but didn’t want to tip off anyone by posting of our suspicions. We have been hard at work today in an attempt to rescue two unwanted Renault Bears while someone else is out there trying to sabotage our efforts. Someone is attempting to outbid us on eBay in what is the latest in a long line of attempts to undermine our altruistic efforts.

We didn’t get the chance to let everyone know prior to the festive season started in earnest but we managed to rescue the Bear we told you about on Christmas Eve. The little guy has made himself at home over Christmas and is currently sitting here watching The Producers on Channel 5 – another telly addict in the making. There was some concern that there was a problem with his nose but this has proven to be groundless. There is nothing wrong with his nose it was just a little fur that was obscuring his nose on his eBay picture.

We are a little late posting tonight and we have also decided not to make it a Musical Sunday post because we have something more important to tell you all about. Evil forces are converging on poor little Renault Bears on eBay and these evil ones are daring to bid on Bears we are trying to save. This has happened before but now it is even little kids who are daring to bid against us. I mean, what on earth would some little rug-rat want with a Teddy Bear?

We are on the trail of another Bear to come and join us here at the Bear Sanctuary. This Bear has been placed on eBay a number of times and we think he is being used in another little confidence trick. He was initially placed on eBay and sold for over £30 which we knew was a con because it was then re-inserted the next day.
