By now Father Christmas will be back at the North Pole and hopefully enjoying a good rest after what must have been the most hectic of night’s work imaginable. No one works harder than Father Christmas or travels further in the name of work. We set Einstein the task of working out some of the figures involved and the results are quite startling. If you assume that Santa visits all the homes of all the Christian children in the world and that the average household has three children and that all the houses are evenly distributed around the world then Santa travels 212million miles.

Santa with a koala named Forest, from Cairns Tropical Zoo in Queensland, Australia

While we were all freezing and slipping over in the snow yesterday, Father Christmas was chilling on the beach in the sun with a Koala bear he had just visited at Cairns Tropical Zoo in Queensland, Australia. The temperature here was -3oc while it was in the thirties over on the other side of the world. It just doesn’t seem fair somehow. Everyone here at Jammy Toast hopes you all had an excellent Crimbo and you all got everything you hoped for from Father Christmas!

It has become a Christmas tradition here at Jammy Toast that each year we have to watch The Snowman. Every year we like to sit down and enjoy the story by Raymond Briggs but, because it is getting quite old these days, it never seems to feature on the Christmas telly listings. To us, it is the highlight of Christmas and so it would appear it is to others also as the film was voted 4th in UKTV Gold’s Greatest TV Christmas Moments.

We never like putting our tree up too early here at Jammy Toast. Many people put their tree up at the beginning of December but we always think that if you do that you are fed up of looking at it by the time Christmas Day arrives. Here at Jammy Toast, this year we have decided to put our tree up on Christmas Eve and so add to the excitement of the festive time. This way, when we get up in the morning it will still be a nice refreshing surprise to see our tree all lit-up.

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year to each and everyone of you!! We are back in England after our little Holiday to Egypt and my first job of 2007 is to introduce you to our little traveling companion Eddie. Eddie is a bear who belongs to a very good friend of ours from Liverpool where he and Eddie live. Eddie has never had a holiday in his life and so he asked could he come with us. How could we refuse such a sweet guy?
