Today we would like to welcome our new friend George to Jammy Toast. This is probably going to be a very short post because George has no idea where he came from and can’t remember anything before he was rescued from a Car Boot Sale by MJC Collectables in Rushden, Northamptonshire. This is quite often the case with Renault Bears, they have an inbuilt defence whereby they forget anything which upsets them or could cause them harm. This probably means George was loved by a child somewhere who then outgrew him and gave him away to the Car Boot Sale like last week’s rubbish.
There is nothing we love more here at Jammy Toast than a good, happy ending animal story. And here is one today. Rehabilitation pools for injured water birds are to be built with the money raised to help treat George the swan who was shot through the head with a crossbow bolt. The swan was injured when he was shot in Pittville Park, Cheltenham, last month. Good hearted people, raised more than £6,000 to help pay for his treatment and for a reward to catch the despicable person responsible.
