The best film news we have had for a while has hit us today. Jammy Toast favourite, Daniel Craig, has changed his mind and is set to sign up for his fifth Bond movie – with Adele lined up to join him as long as her voice is repaired. The actor, 48, claimed he would “rather slash my wrists” than play 007 again but his U-turn came after a host of British stars were tipped to replace him. Another Jammy Toast favourite, Idris Elba, was one of the stars lined up as a possible Bond replacement.
Iam the oldest bear here at Jammy Toast and have a reputation for being a grumpy old bear. I am not really grumpy but things are just not the same these days as they used to be and I am not usually slow at coming forward to complain about it. I can remember the days when we only had three channels to watch on the television and yet there always seemed to be something on worth watching. These days we have literally thousands of channels and there is very little worth watching. What happened to the days when I actually got excited when it was announced we were to get a fourth nation channel and even more excited when it was announced that the television was going to continue broadcasting after midnight.
Jammy Toast’s favourite spy, James Bond, will feature in his new film, Spectre, on 26th October – with its world premiere in London on the same night. “For the first time ever, the film will open on the same night at cinemas across the UK and Ireland,” said distributor Sony Pictures. Spectre, directed by Skyfall’s Sam Mendes, is out in the US on 6th November. Daniel Craig is playing 007 for the fourth time in the film, which also stars Christoph Waltz and Lea Seydoux. Other cast members include Sherlock star Andrew Scott, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci and Ralph Fiennes.
The first full-length trailer for the 24th official James Bond film, Spectre, has been released on YouTube. The two-and-a-half minute clip – which sees Daniel Craig reprise his role as the superspy for a fourth time – gives a closer look at the film after a teaser was released back in March. Featuring car chases, exploding planes and shady crime organisations, it bares all the hallmarks of the classic Bond genre.
Us James Bond fans here at Jammy Toast have had a brand new glimpse of 007’s latest adventure with behind the scenes footage from the new film. The footage, showing a car chase involving Daniel Craig’s secret agent’s classic Aston Martin DB10 and a Jaguar C-X75, has just been released by Sony Pictures through the streets of Rome. Director Sam Mendes said fans would see ‘a cat-and-mouse game through the night time streets of Rome, at great speed, between two of the fastest cars in the world.’
Everyone here at Jammy Toast is excited for the new James Bond film, Spectre, after watching the latest trailers. Daniel Craig is set to return as Bond for the fourth time whilst Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and Rory Kinnear will reprise their roles from the last instalment, ‘Skyfall’. Sam Mendes is at the helm as director and the likes of Andrew Scott, Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista are new additions to the cast. It was also recently revealed that Stephanie Sigman has joined the cast. The model-turned-actress is set to star in the 24th James Bond film, a post on the movie’s official Twitter account confirmed.
There seems to be good deal of speculation lately over who is going to be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig hangs up his Beretta. This is mostly due to the Sony hacking which revealed that Daniel Craig is only committed to making one more movie. So now that private emails have been leaked online, the idea of Idris Elba becoming the next 007 has stepped up a gear. This makes it difficult for us here at Jammy Toast because Daniel Craig is our favourite James Bond ever, but Idris Elba is also one of our favourite actors who was brilliant in the role of Luther. What should we do?
Everyone sat around the telly at lunch time today to hear the details of the latest James Bond film. Since Daniel Craig has taken over the role he has given the series a whole new lease of life and everyone here at Jammy Toast loves him for it. We are also pleased to hear that Sam Mendes will return to direct the new film which will be called Spectre. The title was revealed at the launch event at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, where principal photography is due to begin on Monday. Daniel Craig will play 007 for the fourth time in the film which will be released in the UK on 23th October 2015.
As we get to the end of 2012 we thought it was worth taking a look back at some of the highlights and lowlights of the year. We will keep some great memories of the past year not least being the London hosting of the Olympic Games which were such a huge success. Like every year there will be some sad memories we will also have to keep. 2012 will be the year we remember the deaths of people like Neil Armstrong and Eric Sykes.
The bear’s favourite spy is back today with the release of Skyfall. Daniel Craig returns for a third outing as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, James Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. It looks like being the best film featuring Daniel Craig who is already our favourite James Bond ever.
