It is not a secret that the bears love daytime telly and they are never happier than when they are watching Judge Judy. However, it is not just because we love Judy Sheindlin so much. There is someone else on the show who never fails to bring a smile to our face. Standing next to Judy in the courtroom is a man who quite often stands there looking bored and some days he can even be seen completing a crossword puzzle. That person is none other than Petri Hawkins Byrd – or just “Byrd” as everybody calls him.

This month I decided to draw some people close to our hearts here at Jammy Toast. Drawing people is usually more difficult than drawing buildings, scenery of still life because it has to actually resemble the person you are drawing. If this happens then it really is a case of “back to the drawing board”.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother speaking to these Bears, they are that lazy. This morning I left them with implicit instructions that they were to tidy up and put the Christmas tree up. Razzi and I have just come in now, after a hard day at work, to find the tree still in its box and the place is still an untidy mess. So much for my implicit instructions!

The Bears have not selected a Hero of The Bears award for some time and we think that in the case of this person it is long overdue. As many of you will know, The Bears love daytime television and spend many hours watching their favourite shows. In reality, they have two favourites who they never like to miss. One is Jeremy Kyle, who has already received a Bear award, and the other is the one and only Judge Judy.
