Show Your Soft Side #1

Following a number of complaints recently – concerning our Weather Forecasting service being sexist – we have decided to run a series of posts which the ladies might find appealing. Also, while we are on the case, here at Jammy Toast we love dogs and cats and so were interested to learn that over in America they are currently running an anti-cruelty campaign for pets. “Show Your Soft Side” is a public service campaign that was created to change the mind-set of young people who all-too-often view the maiming and torturing of defenceless cats and dogs as a sign of “toughness” or “manhood.” The campaign’s message that compassion towards animals is a sign of strength, not weakness, is one that, overnight, struck a nerve across America with old and young alike. Today, Show Your Soft Side, uses its reach and resources to build a better world for animals and, in doing so, build better adults.

The other day, Davidd announced that Jammy Toast will be featuring a new series of posts concerning animal cruelty. It was originally Egginanoo’s idea to feature the Show Your Soft Side campaign, but when people complained about the lack of male hunks on Jammy Toast, it was decided to make it a regular feature instead of a one-off story. As Davidd told us on Saturday, it all started over the case of the Baltimore kittens who were set alight. This followed the cases of Daffodil, Caroline, Pokey, Palmer, Benny, Mireille and Elisa, all cats in a rescue program that had suffered injuries consistent with burns.

Iknow many of you will find this hard to believe but we have received a number of complaints recently concerning our Weather Forecasting service. Needless to say, wherever there is any complaining to be done, then The Chimpton is usually at the forefront of said complainants. We have been called sexist – as if – for showing pictures of young ladies (or in one case a ladyboy, if popular rumour is to be believed) reacting to the cold. So Chimpton suggested that we also feature a weather forecast featuring scantily glad males. This is, of course, ridiculous because the male body does not react to the cold in the same way as a female body does – so that idea was mute.
