Eddie samples some of the local "produce"”!

Hello everybody, I don’t often get the chance to write for Jammy Toast because I don’t live there I live with The Chimpton who is rather forgetful. The Bearkeeper asks her to remind me to write something for Jammy Toast but she forgets. So I only write here very infrequently, in fact, there is a chance you may not know who I am so I think it is only fair that I introduce myself. My name is Eddie and I was the very first Renault Bear to be saved. When I say “saved” I actually mean stolen because I used to live with a guy called Tony who let me go on holiday with Mr Bearkeeper and The Chimpton. I became quite attached to The Chimpton and when we returned to England it appears the feeling was mutual because she then refused to return me and has held me captive at Chimpton Towers ever since. Luckily, Tony has long forgiven The Chimpton for this theft of myself and even admits that I am better off being looked after by a Chimpton than by Tony who can sometimes be a little… naughty!

Today is Bearkeeper Davidd’s birthday, so all The Bears would like to wish him a Very Happy Birthday. We asked him what he wanted for his Birthday and because we all love him so much we asked what he would like us to buy as a present for today. He said to prove how much we all think of him we had to get him something that would do 0 – 200 in less than four seconds… so we got him a set of bathroom scales. He mentioned that he hoped he wouldn’t get heartburn this year after eating birthday cake so we told him it would help if this year he would blow the candles out first!

My Day At Work

Today I went to work with The Bearkeeper because Razzi was being lazy and didn’t want to get out of bed. This was the first time I have ever been out in the car and it was an exciting time. It was particularly hot and so we went for a short detour to New Brighton beach and took in some of the sights. The Bearkeeper told me that the other side of the river we were looking across has iron men on the beach who have gone all rusty because of the sea water. I thought to myself it would be nice being in the water during this hot weather but it would be a different thing in the winter when it is freezing cold and the tide is coming in. They would be positively sub-zero!

Hi everyone, I have not had a chance to write my column lately because I have been so busy with eating my Easter eggs and helping The Bearkeeper with things. It is sometimes very hard work helping people to pass their driving tests and then knowing that they are safe enough to drive for the rest of their lives. It is no good passing your test and then not being able to cope with driving on your own. The Bearkeeper and I always make sure people learn how to drive and not just learn to pass their test – there is a big difference.

Hello everyone, this is Erasmus ‘Razzi’ Bear Esq here and I thought because we have just started a brand new Jammy Toast then we should also re-start an old feature – My Column. That means from time to time, or when The Bearkeeper can’t think of anything better to write, I will write something to try to keep you all entertained. I am not quite sure what I am going to write about yet but I thought I would get the ball rolling today.

We did mention on the old Jammy Toast how we started blogging but for those who were wondering or those of you who are new to Jammy Toast you may be lost. So today, I thought we might explain the importance of socks on your head. In the summer of 2006, Ananasty – an old friend of the bears – used to go out gallivanting on Sunday afternoons. I would pick her up and we would go and play golf or go bowling or some adventure or other. Occasionally we might go to the cinema and watch a film, which if it was boring usually ended in us having a “sock fight” or some other interesting pastime.

Today we would like to wish our Bearkeeper a very happy returns for his Birthday. Quite a bit of water has flowed under the bridge since this photograph was taken back in 1968 but some say he is just as childish today as he was back then. Even Great Uncle Bimbo would agree with that one! Have a great day Dave, from all the bears!
