Thirty years ago Hero of The Bears Tony Hart created a simple terracotta modelling clay figure by the name of Morph and for ten years he was the star of Tony’s shows Take Hart and Hartbeat. Now, after nearly two decades off our screens, the little man is set to return as the star of a series of new episodes which will be released online by Aardman Animations. Morph was one of the first characters created by the company that later brought us Wallace and Gromit.

As we come to the end of another year, it is usual to think back on the year that has passed. Perhaps, to think of friends who are no longer with us? The Bears were very upset today to learn that artist and children’s TV presenter Tony Hart had died yesterday after suffering from health problems for some time. Tony was best known for his work with the BBC as a television artist in a variety of programmes including ‘Vision On’, ‘Smart Hart’ and ‘Hartbeat’.
