The other day Andreaa told us the story of her favourite nutters from around Liverpool. Billy Beephorn, Jack Nesbit and Jaffa the Kaffa are/were all favourite landmarks around our fair city – just as much as the Liver Building and the Pier Head. Although I have not seen him for years, no shopping visit to Liverpool was ever complete without seeing Jacko playing his cardboard guitar in Williamson Square. However, here at Jammy Toast our favourite eccentric does not come from Liverpool or even the Wirral but from West London. He does not even live in England anymore – having been bullied by idiots, he went back home – but in 2008 he was an internet cult sensation. His name was Zbigniew Colbecki but he was better known as Ziggy Dust.
The Bears couldn’t believe it yesterday when they discovered dancing street sweeper Ziggy Dust (also known in London as Billy Clean) and spent last night trying to find out more about him. Unfortunately they have discovered a shocking truth. Ziggy has left Britain fearing for his life, saying he was beaten up by racist thugs.
A dancing street sweeper who moves like Michael Jackson has become an internet cult hero. The bin man spins, slides and twirls his litter stick as he collects rubbish in Chiswick, London stopping passers-by in their tracks. Thousands of people have watched YouTube clips of the self-styled ‘Ziggy Dust’ and residents have raved about him on online forums wondering who he is and what he listens to on his iPod.
