There will be no post tonight because we are on strike in support of the Public Sector workers who are being held to ransom over their future pensions. We hope today’s day of action proves to be the biggest walkout for a generation. Today schools and colleges are closed while hospitals are cancelling operations. Courts and government offices are amongst the disrupted services and yet this government will ignore it and blame militants. Prime Minister David Cameron has already described the strike as a “damp squid”. Well we would have to say there is only one “damp squid” we are aware of Mr Cameron – and he is the meant to be the country’s leader.
We added some more of your photographs to the Friends Gallery last night from the many you keep sending us. The collection is growing fast and the Gallery now consists of fifty photographs. If you would like one of your photographs included then please send them along and we will consider them for inclusion. Just please make sure you have the permission of anyone who appears in the picture with you.
Thanks to everyone for the kind messages that Tedwood has been receiving since we told you all about his little operation yesterday. He is currently sitting up in bed watch Judge Judy and is now well on the mend and enjoying the extra movement he now has in his leg. It is still a little sore following the operation but he is expected to make a full recovery and regain full use of his right leg.
Today has been a very nervous day here at the Bear Sanctuary. “Tedwood” the Bear who arrived yesterday with a badly injured leg has been undergoing surgery at the Teddy Bear Hospital and we have all been sitting around waiting for news. According to the hospital, Tedwood has been operated on by non-trained personnel who had sewn his leg to his body in a way as to completely restrict the movement in his right leg.
