oday we are continuing our series of posts featuring our favourite telly shows. As you all know, the bears love their telly and there is nothing they love more than finding a character they can love to love… or even love to hate. The bears don’t usually go for the clean-cut, heroic types they are more likely to identify with the slackers of society, people like Frank Gallagher, Jim Royle or Homer Simpson. They like programmes which are “off the wall” although occasionally they will enjoy serious drama if it is interesting and well written. Today, we are featuring

here is nothing we love more here at Jammy Toast than listening to some of our favourite tunes. From time to time we will post a music video from an artist or genre that we think will be enjoyable to you; our friends. We often feature music that you may not have come across before, or music that maybe you just missed the first time around. Try and listen with an open mind, you never know, you may find something you can add to your iPod. If you have any music videos you would like us to feature then drop us a line – we are always happy to listen to requests but we cannot promise to feature everyone’s favourite

ello, it is me again. My name is Rachel (you may have forgotten, it’s been a while)… I took up your Dave’s invitation to be a guest blogger here on Jammy Toast. Alas, I am not a regular reader of Jammy Toast, in fact I only found it originally because my Dad’s name is also Dave – that is why I refer to them both as “my Dave” and “your Dave”. Your Dave, from what I can tell, has never grown up and by coincidence – neither has my Dave. So, I thought I would tell you about my Dave, his stories, habits and little sayings. Everything I tell you is true… unfortunately. In fact, many people find my Dave hilarious, I just mostly find him embarrassing. I think I should also add that I did ask my Dave for permission to write this on a blog and he replied; “What’s a blog?” I took this to mean I had his permission

oday we are going to ask everyone who visits Jammy Toast to just “Talk Shit” for the day. We ask that anyone who visits Jammy Toast leaves a comment on just about any subject they choose. Funny or sad, true or false, real or fake; we don’t give a shit as long as it is entertaining and doesn’t really hurt anyone. We ask you to do this because we are too busy to think of anything else to post – hopefully everyone will like the freedom to whine and bitch. The rules are pretty simple to explain – basically, anything goes!

oday, we continue our series of posts featuring our favourite films. There is nothing the bears love more than settling around the telly to watch one of our favourite films. Here at Jammy Toast, some of those films have been watched over and over and we would like nothing better than sharing them with you. Our tastes are many and varied as we enjoy films from some of our favourite directors and actors, some of whom we just love everything they do. So today, we continue our tour of some of our favourite movies of all time with Kes.

re we the only ones who get fed up of hearing it is International Day of the [pick a subject]? I am sure if we wait long enough, they will have an International Day of The Earwig – if there isn’t one already. But, having said that, we are quite pleased to hear that today is Banana Split Day. In our opinion, this is easily one of the best parts of summer, even if it is on the rainiest day we have seen for some time. Come to think of it, any time of year where you can indulge in an ice cream treat can’t be bad. It blends the perfect flavour of bananas with the rich sweet flavour of ice cream, topped with whipped cream, maraschino cherries, strawberries, hot fudge, and anything else your fattening arteries desire. Banana Split Day celebrates this amazing treat and offers a perfect excuse to indulge in it!
