The first one I drew for this month’s gallery is of the Ferry at Dusk. It was not really at dusk it was just on a gloomy day as the sun started to shine through the clouds and it silhouetted the couple standing near the railings on the ferry brilliantly. It was really just a matter of being in the right place at the right time to capture a photograph of the scene which I then drew when we got home. The background is of Cammell Laird’s shipyard which, along with the bench in the foreground, add dimension to the drawing.
The other drawings I did this month were of ferry boats themselves and the landing stage walkway. The Mountwood looks as though it is lost in the drizzle and rain of the day which is another effect of drawing in grey scales. The Royal Daffodil is seen berthed near the Duke Street Bridge which seems to be their home these days.

I hope you like this month’s offerings, either way leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Have a great month!
